What's On My Mind?

What's On My Mind?

  • There’s a growing crisis of hope in today’s world. The meta-crisis, or polycrisis, leaves many feeling disillusioned and disconnected, and this sense of hopelessness is at the heart of the global mental health crisis. Youth today are inheriting these challenges, but they also bring something powerful—a fresh perspective, energy, and vision for change. I believe that if we shift how we approach and value the role of young people in leadership, we can create a new way of imagining the future, fostering connection, and regenerating hope. By embracing youth voices and their bold ideas, we can start to reconnect across generations and chart a path toward healing and well-being, not just for individuals but for communities and systems as a whole.

  • At the heart of today’s global challenges is a deep crisis of hope—a sense of disconnection and disillusionment that transcends borders, generations, and industries. But amidst this uncertainty, Gen Z stands uniquely positioned to lead us forward. We envision a Gen Z-led think tank or collective that harnesses the collective power of youth leadership, creativity, and vision to address not only specific areas of social change but to answer a more profound question: How can we regenerate hope across generations as a pathway to healing and well-being?

This collective would be more than a platform for activism; it would be a dynamic hub for reimagining systems, rewriting narratives, and fostering connections across age groups, cultures, and sectors. By centering the creativity and leadership of young people, we aim to explore how youth can lead not just as change agents for social, environmental, and technological shifts, but as architects of a new sense of intergenerational hope. Hope, in this context, becomes the nexus between cycles of harm and healing—disrupting patterns of intergenerational trauma and instead contributing to the larger forces working to foster well-being and repair across generations.

At the core of this vision is the utility of imagination, where youth leverage their unique perspectives to disrupt harmful cycles through mindset and culture shifts. The opportunity to build networks and movements would amplify this work, seeding a long-lasting shift toward positive transformation. By empowering youth to lead, we not only advance the causes of today but build a foundation for intergenerational healing, where hope serves as the catalyst for shifting from cycles of trauma to cycles of well-being and thriving.
